THE WINGS – WHO WE ARE
The Wings could best be described as a multicultural and generally useful arts association with its emphasis also on crossover art. The association was established in Finland in 1992.
Our aim is to help to develop the cooperation of different fields of arts and culture. As an example projects have been made where participants from many different countries have brought their own specific cultural and artistical expressions into the whole.
The association aims to develope such projects that respect the many different ways of artistical expression that arise from all the cultures of the world, also never forgetting the artist’s own personal style and traditions.
The Wings also make educational work by bringing the foreign cultural elements – that are part of the workshops and performances – to the schools, kindergarten etc.
